Last week we moved from Santa Clara to the Los Gatos mountains. Our new place is on an actual Christmas tree farm, 2,500ft above Los Gatos, CA. The view is amazing. We can see most of the Valley from our front window.
Overall the move went well. We rented a 14ft bobtail truck, completely filled it up and still needed more room. We were amazed by the amount of "stuff" the both of us had. We both thought the move was going to be easy since we didn't have too many big items, but boy were we wrong. It was the endless amount of small boxes that kept us busy.It's almost a week later and we're still sifting through boxes. At least we have most of the boxes confined to one room.Our new place is a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. We live under our landlords and have one other neighbor on the property. So far the place seems big. We have more than enough space for all of our "stuff". The dogs seem to enjoy the new place. They're still adjusting to the new living space, and we're still adjusting to them not having a doggy door.
We're both excited to be starting this new chapter in our lives. We just need to finish unpacking to make it feel more like home. Hopefully we'll be having many of you over to see our new place in the near future.
