Hurry Up and Wait

Today Robin is 24 weeks into the pregnancy. We went to Kaiser for a routine check-up. We woke up late and had to rush to make our appointment. We made it on time, then we had to wait 15 minutes to see the doctor.
They did the usual weighing and




taking her blood pressue, but they also measured her Buddha belly and let us listen to the baby's heartbeat. Both of which are good. Her Buddha belly is 24" and the baby's heartbeat sounded strong.





The doctor asked Robin if she's getting the H1N1 vaccine. Robin told her "no". The doctor then gave us a New York Times article to read in hopes to change her mind.
It's a tough decision to make for Robin. I completely understand why she doesn't want the vaccine. However, I worry about what would happen if she contracted the H1N1 flu; even more after reading the article.
