Hurry Up and Wait

It's been a long time since we've posted anything. A lot has happened since our last post. The most major ws as our house was flooded by a broken water line. This displaced us from our house for about two weeks. Robin was reaaly worried she would have to bring our new baby back hone to a hotel. Luckily we were able to get our place fixed rather quickly so that won't be the case. That's a good thing, cause we're in the hospital right now waiting for our baby to be born.
Robin's water broke last night at about 8:30. We went to the hospital shortly after. It's now 6:30am and Robin is only at 3cm. We still have a ways to go.
Robin is afraid they're going to try to put her on pitocin soon if she doesn't make more progress. Robin is tired and hungry, but still excited... excited to get this over with. She's been really uncomfortable the past few weeks. Now she's ready for the last few hours, or days, of uncomfort.

As for me, I'm excited, but tired. I've slept about 3hrs, which is more than poor Robin. I can liken this experience to being in the airport waiting for your return flight home. You don't want to be at the airport (hospital), but you know that it means you're almost home. You just have to wait.
And waiting is what I am doing. I wonder if I'll get to watch the Superbowl?
